LG launches new L-Series III smartphones ahead of MWC

LG is on a roll at the moment, and why shouldn’t it be, MWC is around the corner after all. So, after announcing the LG G Pro 2, here comes an official announcement for the third generation L-series phone from the Korean manufacturer. A total of three new phones from the range, namely the L40, L70 and L90, will debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in a week’s time.
Starting with the L90, which is the top-end product in the series, it is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It gets a 4.7-inch qHD (960×540) display, a 8-megapixel primary and a 1.3-megapixel secondary camera, 8GB of internal memory, and a 2,540mAh removable battery.
The second in the range, the L70, is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It gets a 4.5-inch display (800×400 pixels) and a 2,100mAh removable battery. Depending on the market, it will either get an 8-megapixel primary camera or a 5-megapixel unit, while the secondary camera will be VGA. it gets 4GB of internal memory.
The L40, the third in the range, is the least powerful of the lot. A 1.2GHz processor and 512MB of RAM powers this phone. It gets a 3.5-inch HVGA (480×320) screen, 4GB of internal memory, and a 3-megapixel camera. Battery size being market-dependent, it will either get a 1,700mAh or a 1,540mAh battery.
All the three phones are 3G capable and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. Also, the phones will have a metallic frame and Quick Window smart covers will be available for the whole range.
