How to translate with ImTranslator for Chrome :
You can run ImTranslator: Google Translate in a number of ways.
Highlight the text and
* select "ImTranslator: Translate selection" from the right-click context menu
* click on the ImTranslator: Google Translate button on the Chrome toolbar
* use the hotkey
To perform a translation, enter, paste, or drag-n-drop the text to "Original text" window. Choose the translation language pair and click the "Translate" button.
If you don't know the language of the original text, choose the "Auto Detect” language option to let ImTranslator identify the language for you. When the automatic language detection is performed, the detected language will appear.
- Note: Sometimes the back translation is not always the proper way to check the quality of translation due to the asymmetric sentence structure in different languages. However, this feature may give you additional benefit to make sure your text is understandable.
The unique feature of ImTranslator is the back translation.
ImTranslator reverses the translation back to the original language. Comparison of a back translation to the original text can be used as a quality check on the translation. To enable this function check the “back translation” box.
